1. Before attempting to remove an old
single hole faucet or install a new faucet, make sure the attendant plumbing valve is closed. You can find the valve under the sink. To turn off the water supply, simply turn the valve clockwise until it reaches its limit.
2. If there is an old faucet, remove it. Use a hose wrench to unscrew the nut in the bracket below the bottom of the faucet mounting hole. Turn the hose counterclockwise to remove the hose from the hose. Once done, you can remove the old faucet from the hole.
3. Next, you need to insert the faucet's hose and base into the sink's mounting hole. When done, replace the brackets, nuts and washers. Then, make sure to tighten the nuts. You can use the wrench provided in the mounting kit.
4. If you have hot and cold water pipes installed, now you have to connect the hose from the single hole faucet to the end of the pipe. Turn the connector to the right until the hose is firmly seated.
5. After checking that the hoses and pipes are installed correctly, you must now seal the faucet to ensure that no water will come out when in use. You can do this by running a silicone bead around the faucet base. You just need to run it on the edge of the base. You should also make sure the sink is well sealed.
